Short, because KinOS is a small app made by one person and these should be readable in a couple of minutes.

What you are getting

KinOS is a free app for coordinating a household: chores, a shared shopping list, and shared money. It is provided as it is, with no promise that it will be free of bugs or available without interruption.

Your account

You sign in with your phone number. Keep access to that number; it is the only way back into your account. You are responsible for what is done from your account.

What you put in it

Your household’s content is yours. KinOS claims no ownership of it and does not use it for anything other than running the app for you. Do not put anything in it that is unlawful, or anyone else’s data that you have no right to share.

KinOS is a record, not a bank. It tracks what a household has agreed it spent and who owes whom. It does not move money, hold money, or verify that any payment actually happened. Settling up records that a payment was made. It does not make one. Disputes about money are between the people in the household.

Shared data and other members

Anything you add to a Home is visible to everyone in it, and stays there if you leave, with your name removed. This is deliberate: those entries are also the other members’ record of their own money. Deleting your account explains it in full.

Ending it

You can leave a Home or delete your account at any time, from inside the app. KinOS may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service or other people.

Liability

KinOS is free and provided without warranty. To the extent the law allows, it is not liable for losses arising from using it, including any financial decision made on the basis of what it displays. If some part of this is unenforceable where you live, the rest still applies.
